Being an active photographer and maintaining both meaning and strength in one’s work, defying the ups and downs of life and career, is only possible when this activity is founded on resilience and tenacity, two skills that Donna Ferrato considers fundamental in order to remain relevant in a profession that experiences dramatic shifts and requires an enormous capacity to adapt. "Is it enough to take photographs?" asks Donna Ferrato. In the workshop "Survival", she invites you to feel the burden of responsibility from her perspective; to learn how to search for that glimpse of truth that inspires you; to shape your vision and define the stories you want to tell; and to stay motivated even when what you are revealing may be an uncomfortable truth. "Survival" is a thought-provoking workshop highlighting the output of Ferrato and other photographers she considers to be key, an intensive and thought-provoking encounter of experiences that will push you to look beyond your usual practices, individually and with group awareness, and help you recognize and solidify your own path in photography.
